This is the palace where Ottoman Sultans lived between the 15th and 19th centuries. The kitchen has fine samples of crystal, gold, silver and china porcelains and the Ottoman Treasury has sacred relics inside. It is the most important place to visit in Istanbul.
Built by world famous Ottoman architect Sinan, from 1550 to 1557 to honor Suleyman the MAGNIFICENT, the most powerful Ottoman Sultan. This work of Sinan was intended to prove his architectural ability compared to the impressive Hagia Sophia.
On Mondays the St. Sophia is closed. The itinerary is altered and the St. Sophia is replaced by the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts. On Tuesdays the Topkapi Palace is closed. The itinerary is altered and Topkapi Palace is replaced by the Basilica Cistern.

This horn – shaped waterway streams through the European side of Istanbul and represent one of the most unique natural harbors in the world. It was very important during Byzantine and Ottoman times, today bay is surrounded by beautiful parks and promenades. At sunset, the skyline of city transforms into a scene from fairy tale. The city streets along it's banks offer a glance into the past. In Fener you can see streets with houses and churches from the Byzantine times. Eyup, another important district, is traditionally Ottoman with it's old cemeteries and holy tombs. People visit this place to pray and to express their hopes. From the hills above Eyup you have a wonderful view of this Golden Horn, which you can enjoy with a cup of coffee in the traditional Pierre Loti Cafe.
